Bengaluru – Soundarya Central School hosted Dharohara, a grand exhibition celebrating the rich cultural, scientific, and creative legacy of Karnataka. The event, held with great enthusiasm, provided students and visitors with an immersive experience into the state’s illustrious past and innovations.
The exhibition revolved around the legacy of the Mysore dynasty, particularly the Wodeyars, who played a pivotal role in shaping Karnataka’s history. Students presented engaging models and displays on diverse themes, including bird sanctuaries, the Mysore Sandal Soap Factory, hydroelectric power stations, railways, sericulture, sugar factories, numismatics, and the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium. Highlights also included depictions of the Vijayanagara Dynasty and tributes to the legendary Sir M. Visvesvaraya, whose achievements in engineering continue to inspire generations.
A theatre performance added a dramatic flair, transporting the audience back to the golden era of Karnataka’s history.
The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. V. Ram Prasath Manohar, IAS, Chairman, BWSSB, and Keerthan Kumar, CEO, along with the school’s Managing Trustees.
