The students of Grade 8 went on an educational trip to Yediyur, Shravanabelagola, Belur and Halebidu on 5th November 2025. The trip was organized by the school to give students a chance to explore the rich cultural and historical heritage of Karnataka.

The journey began early in the morning with great excitement. The first stop was Yediyur, where the students visited the Yediyur Siddhalingeshwara Temple and learned about its religious significance and architecture. The next destination was Shravanabelagola, famous for the magnificent Gomateshwara statue. The students climbed up the hill and observed the remarkable monolithic statue while the guide shared interesting facts about Jainism and the story behind the creation of the statue.
After lunch, the group proceeded to Belur and Halebidu, the twin temple towns of the Hoysala dynasty. The guide explained the intricate carvings, sculptures, and the architectural style of the Chennakeshava Temple at Belur and the Hoysaleshwara Temple at

Halebidu. Students were fascinated to learn how these temples reflect the artistic excellence of the Hoysala period.
The trip was both educational and enjoyable, as it helped students connect classroom lessons with real-life monuments. It also deepened their appreciation for India’s glorious art, culture, and history.
The students returned to school in the night with wonderful memories, valuable knowledge, and gratitude towards their teachers and the guide for making the trip informative and memorable.
