Soundarya Central School

Soundarya’s NCC cadets lead a school wide mission to fight e-waste and protect the planet.

In a remarkable step towards a greener future, Soundarya Central School joined hands with N Green Tech Foundation to organize an impactful E-Waste Awareness and Collection Program on campus. The initiative aimed to enlighten students about the environmental hazards of electronic waste and inspire them to adopt sustainable practices in their everyday lives.
A dedicated team of 10 NCC cadets, led by Head Cadet Chinmayee J, took charge as the “Green Army,” leading the campaign across Grades 1 to 12. Their enthusiasm and leadership played a pivotal role in mobilizing the entire school community to participate in this meaningful cause.

The event was graced by distinguished guests — Master Nayan Aditya Tangutooru, the 11-year-old Founder and CEO of N Green Tech Foundation, Mrs. Vishwa Priya, Ms. Tejaswini, and the school’s NCC ANO and Physical Education Instructor Mr. Samson, whose encouragement and support were instrumental to the program’s success.

Through this collaborative effort, the school proudly collected an impressive 226.583 kilograms of e-waste, setting a benchmark for environmental responsibility. The top five contributors were recognized and awarded certificates, badges, and T-shirts in appreciation of their commitment to the cause.

The event concluded with a powerful message — that the students of Soundarya Central School are not waiting for heroes to make a difference; they are becoming the heroes our planet needs. The initiative stood as a shining example of youth leadership, teamwork, and the school’s unwavering commitment to sustainability.
